Session: Despite often being illegal (not always), cases of gender separation and the exclusion of women in the public sphere still exist in Israel and some would say are growing. This presentation will provide with an overview of such cases and some of the public and legal struggles around them
Bio: Tal is a human rights lawyer and an international consultant, focusing on human trafficking, forced migration and women and minority protection. Tal has worked in Israel, different pasts of Africa, the Balkans and in the USA. Upon returning to Israel several years ago, Tal worked for the Israel Religion Action Center (IRAC) as a legal adviser.
